Under normal conditions, oxygen is distributed throughout the body almost exclusively by red blood cells. During Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) all body fluids, including plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, lymph and intracellular fluids are infused with the healing benefits of this molecular oxygen. Pressurization forces oxygen to reach bone and tissue even in areas with poor or compromised blood circulation due to injury or disease.
This increase in oxygen enhances the ability of white blood cells to fight infection and promotes the formation of new capillary and peripheral blood vessels in areas affected by wounds, injury, disease or surgery. The additional oxygen supply is invaluable in boosting the body's natural ability to heal itself.
Our hyperbaric chambers are spacious and allow freedom of movement. Clear acrylic walls make it easy to see outside and allow our trained technicians to closely monitor the therapy session. Technician stays in contact via an intercom. You can relax by watching videos or cable TV. Many simply choose to take a nap.
New clients are screened by our Medical Director to determine if HBO and pressurization will be safe for them, and if so, recommends HBOT for their condition.
A hyperbaric session typically consists of 60 minutes in a pressurized chamber, at increased atmospheric pressure. Breathing 100% oxygen under increased pressure enhances the body's ability to fight infection, promotes faster healing, and helps stimulate the immune system.
HBO therapy is non-invasive, painless, simple and relaxing. Many note reduced stress and fatigue, better sleep habits, and an increase in energy following a session.
